Antonio Gallina lives in Asolo, where he was born in 1935. He attended the Faculty of Economics and was part of the artistic circles in Venice, studying painting with masters Renato Nesi and Juti Ravenna. While still quite young, he exhibited, between 1954 and "57.at the Esposizioni Provinciali of Contemporary Art at Palazzo dei Trecento in Treviso, the Biennali d'Arte Triveneta in Padova, the Mostra del Paesaggio Asolano (where he was awarded a prize) and at the Mostra del Bianco e Nero in San Benedetto del Tronto. From 1955 to 1970, Antonio Gallina exhibited at several one-man shows. From 1970 to 2000 his artistic activity waned as he had become a general manager of a local factory.
When he began painting again, he found that the artistic world had changed significantly, creating new horizons and evolving in its search of new styles and forms.
Today Gallina continues his artistic endeavours, bringing to his canvases colour and style that reflect years of acquired experience and maturity.
